The Wuhan Bund refers to the banks of the Yangtze River and Hanjiang River. Divided into four sections, including Hankou Bund, Wuchang Bund, Hanyang Bund and Hanjiang Bund, the Wuhan Bund extends for 26 kilometers (16.16 miles), with 100-300 meters in width and covering 1.81 million square meters. The Hankou Bund is the most famous section, featuring all kinds of visitor facilities.
It is good to take a stroll, jog or fly a kite around the Bund area, while enjoying the major architecture of the area such as the Yellow Crane Tower, the Qingchuan Pavilion and the Guishan TV Tower. The night view here is also fantastic, especially when all the lights are turned on. It rivals the Shanghai Bund in terms of beauty. Wuhan is known as one of the three furnaces of China due to its extreme summer heat, but the Bund is always the coolest place in the city.
