Serbia won quarter-finals against Spain with a three-pointer in the last seconds against Spain, ending the game a close 92-89 Wednesday evening.
After Spain had painstakingly equalized the score at 89-89 with less than 30 seconds left in the fourth quarter, Serbia's Milos Teodosic stalled until he sank a shot well behind the three-point line with 3 seconds left on the clock.
The match had been close throughout, with Spain occasionally trailing Serbia only to catch up repeatedly.
The first quarter ended with a Serbia lead of 27-23, and the first half finished with the gap widening to 49-41. Spain narrowed the gap a bit in the third-quarter, trailing Serbia by 3 points for a 67-64, but it was not enough and the Serbian team maintained its lead for the win.
Spain's Juan-carlos Navarro was the top-scorer of the game with 27 points, including 4 three-pointers. Marko Keselj and Novica Velickovic were the top-scorers for Serbia with 17 points each.
Serbia will now be participating in the semi-finals against the victor of Wednesday night's Turkey-Slovenia game.
