The Fanuc Corporation, headquartered in Japan’s Yamanashi Prefecture, provides automation products and services such as robotics and computer numerical control systems. It is one of the largest makers of industrial robots in the world.
Fanuc robots are used in aerospace, automotive, consumer goods and many other industries.Over 250,000 Fanuc robots have been installed worldwide, according to the company website.
Sales of Fanuc robots reached 182 billion yen (about US$1.51 billion) in the 2014 fiscal year, according to the company’s fiscal report.
