Kuka, headquartered in Augsburg, Germany, is a leading manufacturer of industrial robots and solutions for factory automation.The company developed its first industrial robot in 1973. Its robots are used in the automotive industry, plastics, metalworking, andthe electronics industry, among others.
Kuka’s robotics corporation has 25 subsidiaries worldwide. Its robot business had sales revenue of 834.6 million euros (about US$941.6 million) during the 2014 fiscal year, according to the company’s financial report.
