Wuchereria bancrofti is a parasitic filarial nematode spread by a mosquito vector. If a person is infected and doesn't receive effective treatment, he or she may develop elephantiasis, a disease causing thickened skin, especially across the legs and male genitals. People who infected are mainly located in tropical and subtropical countries. Main symptoms include fever, lymphatic, skin thickening and swelling.
