Gu Chujun
Gu Chujun, former chairman of Guangdong Kelon Electrical Holdings Co Ltd, once a leading home-appliance manufacturer, was sent to jail for 10 years in 2008. Gu was accused of registered capital and accounting fraud, misappropriating funds and embezzlement. Gu took over Kelon in 2001 after beginning operations in China's capital markets in 2000. At the time of his arrest, Gu controlled five listed companies and had personal assets of 2 billion yuan ($300 million).
