As Chinese tycoons, they were well-known in the country or even around the world in their heyday. But they finally ended up in prison and for some of them, it's for the rest of their lives.
Zhou Yiming
Zhou Yiming was chairman of Shenzhen Minglun Group Ltd., which was involved in electronics, trading and food processing. Zhou had assets of 1 billion yuan ($150 million) and was listed among the 400 Richest Chinese by Forbes magazine in 2005. He was sentenced to life imprisonment for embezzlement and contract fraud in 2007.
