School safety was once again put into question after a series of school stabbing that occurred in several provinces across China. Among the attacks, the most horrifying was committed by a knife-wielding man who stabbed 28 children at a kindergarten in Taixing in eastern China's Jiangsu province at the end of April.
These violent incidents raise concern with most parents and society on the whole. Many schools in China have stepped up their guard systems and teamed up with the police in an effort to keep schools safe.
Police in Beijing have been on patrol when students go to and leave schools and some schools in the city will not let students leave until their parents come pick them up.
