That was a short part of the interview. I also asked him about his views on the Chinese film industry, the influence of technology development, and low budget movies. That’s all included in the full version of our interview with director James Cameron.
Q1. Are you happy with your box office here in China?
Q2. But in the US market, titanic is not performing as good as what you’ve expected. What do you think about it?
Q3. All of the films produced in China, only 20 percent of them make profits. Why do you think it’s happening?
Q4. But some Chinese critics say that some of these threats are posed by people like yourself because you’ve taken a big share of the pie. Do you think bringing more Hollywood films will pose greater threats for Chinese movies?
Q5. What about the next step. I know you’ve met some Chinese directors and movie makers. Is there possibility that you’re going to start your cooperation with Chinese movie makers in the future?
Q6. I know you’ve been to the Beijing Film Academy and you’ve met with some young hopefuls. What is the message you would advice?
Q7. And when can we expect your next movie?
