The China International Silk Expo has spun its last thread in eastern Hangzhou city.
Running in its 13th session, the event aims to both preserve and develop Chinese silk traditions, a legacy the city has been proud of for hundreds of years.
Over 200 sellers from Japan, South Korea, and China took part in this year's China International Silk Expo held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province.

The Silk Expo offers a stage for domestic designers to display how western evening gowns blend with Chinese silk. Picturesque Hangzhou is not only famed for its exquisite scenery and relaxing lifestyle, but also silk production.
The city established its reputation back in the Han Dynasty, some two thousand years ago in and outside China through the Silk Road.
Shen Jian, vice mayor of Hangzhou City, said, "We've found archaeological proof that silk existed in Hangzhou some 4,700 years ago. Hangzhou is known as the capital of silk in China. Our concern is how to inherit and develop that heritage. Silk is a brand of the city. It's competitive and the silk industry is green."
Over 200 sellers from Japan, South Korea, and China took part in this year's expo. They've talked directly to over 120 buyers from Europe, America, and Asia, doubled the number of 2009.
Among them for the first time were some exhibitors who participated through the internet.
