In order to educate people more about the Earth, the various
cultural traditions in different countries and regions and how
humans live in harmony with nature, the Green Earth Volunteers and
the Beijing Cultural Heritage Protection Center (CHP) have jointly
launched two salons hosting the themes of "environmental
protection" and "cultural heritage protection". Two documentaries
covering each respective theme will be broadcast every two
weeks.

This documentary covers a very popular folk festival celebration
in Suzhou. This important annual event has been celebrated for more
than one thousand years. The 14th day of the 4th lunar month is a
day widely believed to be the birthday of Lu Chunyang, a very
popular immortal widely worshiped in China. Thousands of people
gather on Nan Hao Street. They all hope to "bump into" this most
beloved southern Chinese immortal. Currently this festival is
applying for status as an intangible cultural heritage.
