China, too, fell victims in the case

I brought a special gift given to me by Qin Baoye, a resident of Gansu, to show everyone how little corn they had harvested this year. Her family harvested just 100kg this year. Westerners have a lot of corn every day; they had never seen anything like this. One old man came to me taking pictures, he turned out to be a local newspaper photographer and his editor had the idea that he should come to me for more information about China's story.

Luckily, here there are some people willing to hear a voice from China, we have to pass on the message and bridge the gaps.

Having seen cities like Beijing and Tianjin and provinces like Gansu, in the last six months, what has impressed me is that China is advancing rapidly. But it still faces complicated problems. China has announced an increased effort on reducing of pollutant emissions, but with regard to sustainable development China rarely has a say on the matter of how the adaptation of funds and technology impacts on the lives of people living in areas affected by climate change.
