Vice Minister for Information, Industry & Technology and Minister Gao Hucheng, Ministry of Commerce Miao Wei met with Business and Enterprise Minister Mark Prisk to discuss key bilateral trade policies in Beijing Yesterday.
All three Minsters participated in an ICT- focused press conference, organised by UK technology firm ARM and their Chinese business partner Nufront, to support the launch of the firm's new low power- generated electronic chip.
Mr. Prisk will also deliver a keynote address at a China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) and British Chamber of Commerce (BCC) event where he will raise awareness of the Government's intention to strengthen UK trade relations with China .
Business and Enterprise Minister Mark Prisk said, "In Britain we acknowledge our historic partnership with China , and are keen to do more to ensure that this relationship continues to thrive. We have a strong partnership but can and should do more to build on this."
"British business is already here in force and we are forging links in the supply chain in Chinese industry- for example in automotive, aerospace, ICT and chemicals. ARM and Nufront’s success is a good example of how UK and Chinese companies can work together to compete on the international stage," said Mr. Prisk.
