The 8th group of 50 aid-Tibet tour guides from other parts of China will work in Tibet from mid-April to mid-October, according to the Tibet Regional Tourism Bureau.
The arrival of the guides from 21 province-level areas is expected to ease the shortage of tour guides working in foreign languages, including English, German, French, Spanish, Russian, Japanese and Korean.
Most of these guides have a college education and 11 have intermediate-level tour guide qualification certificate.
Since 2003, 415 tour-guides from the rest of China have worked in Tibet in support of local tourist development.
