Chinese President Xi Jinping has met with visiting US Secretary of State John Kerry in Beijing.

President Xi spoke high of the development in the China-US relations over the past year. He said the two nations have conducted effective cooperation and coordination in various fields. Xi also said the steady development of bilateral ties not only benefits both countries but also meets the anticipations of the international community.

Xi stressed that China and the US, can make more contribution to the world by working closely together.

Kerry stressed the effective communications between the two countries played an important role in the nailing of the Paris climate change deal and Iranian nuclear deal. He says the US is looking forward to deepen bilateral ties and cooperation in international affairs.
