The final stage of the Youth Olympics torch relay has been completed in the host city of Nanjing in east China.

The torch will now be kept in a special lantern before the the torch tower is light at Saturday’s opening ceremony.

Ninety-four overseas athletes arrived in Nanjing on Monday morning, and a 179-member Chinese delegation was formed in Beijing. It includes 123 athletes, aged between 15 and 18.

The Nanjing Youth Olympic Games will run from August 16 to 28 and include 28 sports.
