A Malaysia Airlines flight has made an emergency landing early Monday in Kuala Lumper, after it was forced to turn back due to its front tire bursting during takeoff.
The airline said Flight MH192 to Bangalore in southern India landed safely at Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 1:56 a.m. local time, about four hours after it departed. Nobody was injured in the incident. The Boeing 737-800 carrying 159 passengers and 7 crew members departed from Kuala Lumpur late Sunday.
Malaysia Airlines initially said the right landing gear of the plane "malfunctioned upon takeoff" but later added it was because one of the tires burst.
