Stephen Marbury of the Beijing Ducks has earned the most votes among fans for the starters for the upcoming CBA All-Star game.
The star import getting the Kobe Bryant treatment here in China as despite a knee injury he has accrued the most votes for the North team who will battle the South in a couple of weeks here in the Capital.
The starting line-up was selected by fan balloting across China. The vote began on November 25th, and ended Sunday.
League leading Guangdong Southern Tigers will dominate the South starters as they are providing three players big man Yi Jianlian, forward Zhu Fangyu and Guard Wang Shipeng. Veteran Wang Zhizhi of Bayi Rockets and Lin Chih-chieh of Zhejiang Lions will also compete for the South.

For the North, Marbury who has been sidelined by a knee injury for much of the year will be alongside his teammate Sun Yue as starters in the back-court.
The North All-star team will also be strengthened by Liaoning’s Han Dejun and Li Xiaoxu, plus Ding Yanyuhang of the Shandong Gold Lions. The CBA all-star weekend is set to be held on January 18th and 19th in Beijing.
