Chinese Premier Li Keqiang has criticized the European Union for its trade measures against Chinese products. Li says the EU's measures against Chinese solar panels and mobile telecommunications equipment will harm both sides.
Despite the criticism, the EU is to vote on proposed anti-dumping duties on Chinese solar panel makers. The proposed would duties range from 37 to 68 percent, and could potentially affect 27 billion US dollars worth of Chinese products, and up to 400,000 jobs.
German consulting firm Prognos estimates the proposed duties could lead to more than 200,000 job losses in Europe over the next three years. The EU currently accounts for about half of China's solar exports.
