Chinese vice premier, Zhang Gaoli, has told a forum in Beijing that China's growth and development will provide more opportunities and a stronger impetus for the world economy.
Zhang was speaking at the China Development Forum, a platform for business and academic leaders to interact with the country's top decision makers and economic planners. This year's forum runs from Saturday to Monday, under a theme of "deepening China's reform and opening up to build a better-off society."

Zhang said by 2020 when China fulfill building a moderately prosperous society, the world can expect to see a much larger market scale and an improvement in living standards. He said China will continue building a market environment featuring equitable competition. The Vice Premier also called on more multinational companies to invest in China, saying the legitimate interests of investors will be protected.
The China Development Forum was initiated in 2000 by the State Council's Development Research Center.
