A suicide bomber has killed himself and wounded several others in the Kenyan capital Nairobi. The attack came barely hours ahead of an official visit by US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

The bomber detonated a grenade near a military air base on Friday. Nine people were wounded. It’s the latest in a series of attacks since the country’s military foray into Somalia last October.

The blast occurred in a Somali-dominated area. It’s presumed the attacker intended to strike the military facility.
