Weather forecasters predict the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics will not be disrupted by rain.
British people are famous for grumbling about the weather, but most could be forgiven a moan after the recent onslaught of near continuous rain. After weeks of grey skies, many feared the opening ceremony would be washed out.
But senior meteorologists now believe there is a greater probability it will be dry. The British weather is a difficult beast to predict though...so for those with tickets it may still be a good idea to take an umbrella.
But looking on the bright-side is something of a British tradition and hopes are high that skies will remain clear for the opening ceremony and beyond.
