Qipao collars, Chinese Miao embroidery, blocks of bright colours in striking contrast. The clothes of the Miao ethnic group are the inspiration behind this year's collection from Shiatzy Chen. They're calling it "neo-Chinese chic", transferring historical Chinese aesthetics into modern fashion design.

Wang added that, for her, the show is the realization of her dream of revitalizing the beauty of Chinese ethnic minority culture, an achievement she feels very proud of.
