Most American sport event took a break for Super Bowl Sunday. But the Miami Heat and the Toronto Raptors were still on the schedule to do battle in South Florida. The Raptors had not defeated Miami in their last five tries. The Heat had won nine of their last eleven contests.

Miami was still hot behind Wade with a fadeaway jumper. He had 25 points and gave the Heat the early lead.
The Raptors' DeMar DeRozan was razor sharp. He slashed through the Heat defense for a slam. Toronto stayed close through the second quarter in Miami. DeRozan scored 25 points to lead Toronto.
D-Wade's teammates found him free on the baseline. Miami held a healthy lead to start the second half.
Chris Bosh had a quiet night against his former team with 12 points, but he jammed on the run on this play. It was one of the top plays on the night.

And the Heat did not let up. LeBron James to Mario Charlmers for an open triple, Miami led by 14.
Miami's fast break was working to perfection as well. A Toronto turnover led to a lob from guard Norris Cole with James on the finishing end. Lebron with a 2-handed slam and the Heat kept its double-digit cushion in the second half.
Then the Raptors made a fourth quarter run. They beat the shot clock with a three. It was a 5 point game with four minutes left.
Toronto's Jerryd Bayless cut the Miami margin to three, and the Heat looked like they were out of gas.
They turned to James for a boost down the stretch. He had a game high 30 points, and the Heat went on to beat the Raptors, 95-89.
