Hollywood heavyweights walked the red carpet Sunday in Los Angeles for the 69th Annual Awards show. Actress Glenn Close loved the shrug on her blue velvet Armani dress.
Glenn Close said, "I love shrugs. I think shrugs are incredibly versatile. You can shrug them off your shoulder. You can close it up so, it's really fun."
"Vogue" cover girl Rooney Mara wore a deep V-neck black gown with a bare, harness-style bodice.
Rooney Mara said, "This is Nina Ricci and it's the first one I tried on. It fit perfectly, it was very comfortable. I thought it was very beautiful."
The red carpet largely ushered in a new group of fashion stars, including Zooey Deschanel in a unique Prada dark-green halter gown.
Zooey Deschanel said, "It's Prada. I love it. I really wanted to have a kind of 'valley of the dolls' evening wear kind of look."
Actress Angelina Jolie dressed like the glamorous Hollywood star she is at Sunday night's Golden Globe Awards. She wore a body-hugging ivory Versace strapless gown with a flash of red at the bust line that perfectly matched her lips and handbag. But on this occasion, she was there as the Golden Globe-nominated director of the American-financed, Bosnian-set drama "In the Land of Blood and Honey."
