The much-anticipated wuxia film, "Flying Swords of Dragon Gate" held its premiere ceremony in Beijing on Monday.
The legendary director Tsui Hark attended with his all-star cast including Jet Li, Zhou Xun and Chen Kun. The group shared some of the film's excitement that was inspired by new 3D technology.
Although the film is based on the story of 1992's wuxia classic "New Dragon Gate Inn", Tsui Hark promises that the film is not a remake of the fans' old-time favorite, but more of a reinvention.
Tsui invited the visual-effects supervisor for "Avatar" to join his technical crew to manage the 3D special effects.
Plus, in order to create even more thrilling effects, the movie will be presented in IMAX format.
In all, the crew is confident to impress the audience with its all-star cast, martial kicks and wuxia plot in the form of 3D and IMAX.
