Muammar Gaddafi's daughter, Aisha, has delivered a statement on loyalist TV channel Alrai. She urged Libyans to unite against NATO and stand by her father, or risk facing a lengthy foreign occupation.

"I swear to you, the rebels are protected by NATO and if we let them, they will come in and take over Libya. The US, France, Italy and the UK will colonize us in the name of protecting us, as we can see in Iraq. They are coming for oil."
