NASA has launched the Aquarius/SAC-D satellite following a one day postponement.
The satellite blasted off from the Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.
The weather forecast for Friday showed a one hundred percent chance of favorable weather conditions for the launch.
The Aquarius/SAC-D is a collaboration between NASA and Argentina's space agency. Aquarius was built by NASA's JPL and the Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland.
