In Australia, an aging koala that was stolen from a zoo near Sydney, has been reunited with its keepers. He was found after being dumped a trash can in the zoo's parking lot.
The koala, named Banjo, was taken from his pen on Monday night. By Wednesday, the park received an anonymous phone call tipping off authorities to the whereabouts of Banjo who was stashed in a plastic trash bin, covered with a milk crate.
The 13-year-old appeared frightened, and was suffering from mild dehydration, but was otherwise in good condition.
The park's manager believe he would not have lasted long without proper care. Park authorities say it was the first time a koala had been stolen from a zoo in Australia.
