Artists from around the world are emerging from the long winter for this year's spring tours to China.

French artists are once again in the spotlight, with the annual China-France Cultural Spring beginning on Thursday.

Among related events, the French Film Showcase already unveiled in Beijing has proven the most popular.

At the event, ten French feature films and eleven short movies were screened. In addition, numerous pop film stars from France and China were on hand to mark the festival.

Yao Chen, Chinese Actress, said, "When I was in college, we learned about many French films. They are full of romance and freedom."

Li Naiwen, Chinese Actor, said, "French film is dramatic with as much morality and depth. We all love French films."
