China has just released the second part of the country's national image show. The promotional video "China on the way" will be broadcast in New York's Times Square after "Experience China" end s its run.
Seventeen minutes long, containing 800 scenes, but a real glimpse of China.
Premiering in New York's Times square, China on the way is the second instalment feature designed to boost the country's image. Scenes in the film cover the country's various fields and the daily life of ordinary Chinese people.
It also shows how people view the country.
Popular Chinese culture like the Peking Opera, martial arts and Chinese medicine all represent a historical and newer take on the country to the world.
Filming the promotion video was finished recently and will be released in China's embassies and consulates overseas, mainly on festival celebrations, receptions and other diplomatic activities.
"China on the way" completes the unfinished task of "Experience China" by showing a more diversified China to the world.
China's image show completed its bidding in November 2009 and took one year to film and make. Authorities hope that the two films will enhance understanding of the nation, and draw more tourists and business to China.
