The Democratic People's Republic of Korea's leading newspaper, the Rodong Sinmun, released an article on Tuesday, saying if South Korea dropped its hostility toward DPRK, and respect the sovereignty and dignity of the country, it would like to improve relations with South Korea.
The paper reiterated that the DPRK has the right to decide for itself on diplomatic policies, and has its own conviction to handle all problems.
The article stressed that peace on the Korean peninsula is crucial for developing the country. It said the DPRK is against any plot to provoke a war and that nations should see beyond their differences, if they are willing to improve relations.
