Two Chinese sailors have been confirmed dead, while one remains in critical condition, after a cargo ship went missing south of Okinawa, Japan early on Wednesday. Three other crew members are still alive.
Of the sailors who have been located, four were discovered by the Japanese Coast Guard, including three survivors and one fatality. The two deceased crew members were found by patrol boats from Taiwan. One of the two picked up by those vessels died after being sent to Okinawa, by the Japanese Coast Guard, for emergency treatment. The other remains hospitalized.
