Anyone passing London's Golden Square Tuesday lunchtime may have been surprised to see Katy Perry and Lady Gaga being pelted with tomatoes. The lookalikes were brought in to draw attention to MTV's Europe Music Awards.

The ladies counted down to a traditional Spanish tomato fight between more than 200 Londoners, ahead of the awards in Madrid on November 7th. They then joined the fray, before posing, covered in tomato juice, for press photographers.
