With only ten days away from the Mid-Autumn Festival, one of the most important family reunion days of Chinese nation and is traditionally celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month, the Chinese communities from around the globe have started to celebrate.
In the China Town of Singapore, the Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations were kicked off by a light-up ceremony last Saturday.
Tens of thousands of local residents, including Chinese descendants, Malay and Hindu, as well as visitors thronged at the China Town hours before the ceremony.
The entire city is enlivened and lit up by an exciting, colorful and vibrant month-long program based on the theme "A Celebration of Unity."
