Malaysia is about to embark on a major promotional campaign to draw more tourists from China. Chinese tourists have the potential to generate annual revenue for Malaysia of more than three billion yuan. Malaysia's Deputy Tourism Minister says Chinese tourists are willing to come to Malaysia, but are unaware of what the country can offer.
Promotional efforts will be increased in Chinese magazines, television and newspapers, and through travel agents. Roadshows will also be held to promote Malaysia in various cities in China.
