The central plaza of Yuyuan has been turned into a display of Shanghai's old city culture.

A huge steam bun is luring people to the stands of Nanxiang, a local favorite, to produce steam buns with various stuffings. Chefs are making the buns on the spot, filling them with beef, vegetables, mushroom, or seafood. And the Shanghai residents are eating them up.

Shanghai Resident, said, "It's a brand of Shanghai, of China. We have eaten their buns for twenty years. My son began to eat them when he was a child. Their taste gets even more delicious with time."

While the boat-shaped booth serves snacks from a vintage brand called Lübolang. The shop with various boat snacks as its forte is adding the World Expo mascot to its catalogue.

Also sold here are traditional Chinese medicines at a vintage shop. People can find packed herbs or an herbal tea to improve their health. Individual medicinal ingredients all come with detailed descriptions.

To vary the kinds of shops found here, there is also a fan shop selling painted fans. Folk artists demonstrate this skill nearby.

Visitors can also find vintage brands selling gold, tea, and other products.

The Yuyuan garden time-honored brand showcase provides an opportunity for World Expo visitors to taste the local culture of Shanghai.

In the months to come, a Duanwu culture showcase and a night fair will be held in Yuyuan the well-kept Ming dynasty garden in Shanghai.
