BP executives have come up with another way to try and stop the massive oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico. This couldn't come quick enough as balls of tar wash up on Dauphin Island, just 5 kilometers off the coast of Alabama.
Engineers will try and stop the leak with a smaller containment dome after a larger one failed over the weekend. BP says they hope the smaller dome will be put in place by mid-this-week.
Meanwhile, fire and rescue workers have been called in to clean up Dauphin Island's coastline and collect dead birds. An estimated 13 million liters of oil has spilled since an oil rig exploded and sank potentially causing the United States' worst oil disaster.
