The re-launch of the ChinAfrica monthly magazine features a story about the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, which will be held in Egypt next week, November 8-9.
Originally launched in 1988, ChinAfrica facilitates exchange between the two continents as China expands investment and gains more influence in Africa.
"It is a good magazine in terms of its subjects," said Jorge Nobre Silva, the first secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Cape Verde. "The first time I saw the magazine, I saw something about Africa. In China, it is very difficult to find some reviews and magazines about these subjects. And I think its first impression was good."
Silva thinks the most unique aspect of the magazine is the focus on China's investment in Africa. "I think for someone who never knew about China's investment in Africa, reading the magazine can be well informed of it."
The official said that although there are different opinions and voices about China's ventures in Africa, China is a good partner with Africa.
"You must think just in the way that, you win and your partner win,"he said.
As for the impact of the financial crisis on Africa, Silva said Africa is not so developed in the financial sector, so it has not been hit that hard.
"Some countries are so dependent on the financial markets. If something happens, they fall, you see. Africa is not so dependent in this side,"he added.
