Petko Draganov, Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations Conference of Trade and Development (UNCTAD), gave an exclusive TV interview to China.org.cn on October 17, 2009. During the interview, Mr. Draganov explained UNCTAD’s role in coping with the financial crisis, shared his views on recent trade disputes between China and other major economies, and set out his expectations for his term at UNCTAD.
Petko Draganov is Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations Conference of Trade and Development (UNCTAD). He took up the post on 1 May 2009, following his appointment by the United Nations Secretary-General. Mr. Draganov is a former Bulgarian ambassador to South Africa, Namibia, and Botswana. In 1998, Mr. Draganov was appointed Permanent Representative of Bulgaria to the UN and other International Organizations in Geneva.
