Leaders of 21 nations, developed or developing and four global financial organizations gathered during the weekend in Washington D.C. in an effort to tackle, possibly one of the most daunting financial crisis in modern history. Though believed to be high in hopes yet modest in scope, the meeting has managed to bring in more voices from emerging economies.
Meanwhile, some argue it also has paved the way for future cooperation between the U.S., where this round of financial crisis stemmed from, and the rest of the world when the new country's new President comes into power earlier next year.
