A two-day seminar on the Nordic model of social welfare is underway at the Norway Pavilion where Norwegian and Chinese sociologists and officials discuss topics of demographic structure, social security, health care and free education.

Norway, already a sophisticated welfare state, is a role model for many countries. The Research Council of Norway is planning future research collaboration with the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. The seminar concludes today.
