More than 100,000 items of fake Expo products were destroyed in a square on August 22, at the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination.
Top bureau officials attended the event.
More than 1,000 people were nabbed for making or selling fake Expo products since the Expo 2010 opened on May 1, said officials.
Expo Site police warned that fake Haibaos were usually stuffed with abandoned cotton, which will pose threats to people’s health.
