From September 5th until November 28th, Beijing Postcards will explore this extraordinary transformation that China’s capital has undergone.
Based on extensive research and interviews with local Beijingers, in addition to our own collection of original Beijing maps and historical photographs, we have created a portrait of a changing city as seen from the streets.
A cohesive picture of the last hundred years of Beijing has been pieced together out of its fragmented history.
The exhibition will contain a plethora of insightful explanations in both Chinese and English.
In conjunction with the exhibition will be a free twenty-minute conducted tour of the display every day at 2 p.m. For groups of 10 or more, special arrangements may be made (call: 13718556237).
In addition to this it will be possible to book “Beijing on the Move” talks/lectures. We have both a children’s talk, catering to 9-13 year olds, as well as a talk aimed more at a grownup audience. The talks are both one and a half hours long including a Q&A session.
