For one weekend in September, respected local and foreign acts perform at China’s first and largest jazz event. There are usually two outdoor stages, one for traditional jazz and swing, the other dedicated to modern jazz, funk and world music. Grammy award winner Donny McCaslin performed in 2007. Sessions in bars around the city complement the main events.
