The ceremony of the 2012 Golden Mask Awards, the country's first micromovie awards, is scheduled to be held in Yinchuan, capital of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, on August 15, according to the organizing committee of the China (Ningxia) International Culture, Art and Tourism Expo.

First launched this year, the Yinchuan-based Awards features ten awards with a total prize of over one million yuan (US$157,000).
The Awards has received micromovie entries from film companies, directors, and college students around the country since the campaign was launched, an organizing committee member of the Awards said. The enrollment closes on August 1.
In addition, an inter-city micromovie union has been set up in Beijing, Ji'an, Nanjing, Fuzhou and Xiamen.
