Located in Yongning County, Yinchuan, the park (中華回鄉(xiāng)文化園)?is the only theme-park in China that displays ethnic Hui culture, religion and traditions. Visitors can fully enjoy Hui folk culture, religion, dances, songs and movies and food in the park. Hui culture is an integration of Islamic and traditional Chinese culture from the Han and Tang Dynasty. The construction of the park began in 2001 and it opened to the public in 2005. The whole park is designed to cover a total area of 1000 mu (66.7 hectares), and currently the first-phase of 300 mu has been opened. The 300 mu (20 hectares) culture park includes an ethnic Hui museum, a ritual palace, a Hui ethnic customs village and a Hui catering and performance center. Besides, it also contains a Muslim restaurant and art craft shopping street, showcasing the culture, history, songs and dances as well as traditions and customs of the Hui ethnic group. The main attraction of the park is a white Islamic-style building, which is surrounded by a long and round corridor. The park includes the largest Hui Museum in China with a total area of 7,000 square meters. The museum looks like the Chinese character "Hui", and comprises five halls and has 1,000 relics and books on the Hui people and Islamic belief. Travel Tips: 1. Children below 1.2 meters can visit for free. 2. Children between 1.2 - 1.4 meters tall, elders from 60-69, soldier, students can get 50 percent discount. 3. There is no ticket sale on Tuesday.
