Zhenhai Bay mangrove national wetland park in Taishan city, south China's Guangdong province, has the most complete and largest expanse of primitive mangrove forest in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
In recent years, Taishan, relying on the Zhenhai Bay, has built 230 hectares of new mangroves and restored 38 hectares of existing mangroves, presenting a 30-km-long mangrove landscape belt. Combining green roads, ancient villages, hot springs and Taishan oysters, the city is constructing a 10,000-acre mangrove demonstration zone that integrates mangrove ecological conservation, eco-breeding and eco-tourism.
