Day 3: Kizil Thousand-Buddha Caves
The Kizil Caves form the oldest group of grottoes in China and are a popular destination for visitors. The first cave was initially carved during the 3rd century and completed in the 8th or 9th century. The area now has more than 80 caves, 10 of which are open to the public.
Transport: Rent a car to the Thousand-Buddha Caves Scenic Spot after arriving in Kuche County.
Ticket prices: 55 yuan for Guxi Area; 55 yuan for Gudong Area
Opening times: 10am-8pm
Tip: Photography is not allowed inside the caves.
