This initiative aims to protect and restore the Atlantic Forest, which once covered a vast swath of Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina. However, it has since been reduced to fragments due to centuries of logging, agricultural expansion and urbanization.
Area restored so far: 700,000 hectares
2030 target: 1 million hectares
2050 target: 15 million hectares
